Richard Dunne

Hope he stays.

Even if we sign someone better than him we need to keep decent players to build a decent squad.

Dont see the sense in off loading a player especially to a team, Spurs, who have similar ambitions to us. If he's good enough for them and there push for the top 4 then surely he's good enough for us!

Its fucking madness to even consider selling him.

He appears to be highly respected by all the other players and leads the team very well in my opinion.

I agree Rasc and I also think that even if he did become the 3rd best CB at the club then we should keep him as a sub as opposed to selling him and having the 4th best CB as a sub.

It is a squad game, now we are in Europe that is even more true.

He is the closest we have come to a Legend in the side these past seasons.
He still has it in him, he's not past it.
STAY DUNNIE!

Liverpool have had Sami Hyypias best years and have replaced him, but he is still in the squad and still plays when need be.

Thats what we should be dong.

Exactly. This season proved that whilst we do have a decent team we have a poor squad in relation to other teams in our situation. We sell Dunne and hopefully keep MR then we're looking at a partnership of Corluka and Richards. One of them goes out injured and we're still in a Sun Jihai situation in terms of back up.

Look at Utd with Giggs, Scholes etc.

This is media hype again though isn't it?

I read an interview with Dunne on the OS at the back end of the season stating he felt at home here and he didn't want to leave.

Another BM "Let's read the paper and use them as our 'inside source' "

Hope so Gstar. I'd like to see who we bring in before we even think about letting first team players go.

We are an easy target for the strokers in the press right now and IMO not a chance Dunne will go to Spurs and I think our skipper should be given the respect he's earned and deserves from the City faithful - Little over a year ago people were saying if Dunne were to leave we would be down for sure

Imagine how easy it would be to never read the papers, and never go on forums?
