I dont think any Owner/board should buy players and foist them on a manager.

And Roanldinho in my opinion would be a waste of space

fair do's Rasc but when Franny signed Kinky he was without doubt a truly brilliant gem of a player. just a pity we had a shit team around him, If we had ronnie now we have the players to compliment him ...IMO of course!

But that is the problem imo. We don't have a clue WHO is going to be in the first team if Hughes is allowed to go out and get who he wants. Some may sign, but others won't. Some of the first team regulars may be with us of course...but this smacks of one player meaning much more than any team around him. And that isn't good imho.

would love to see him in a blue shirt, but then again all sense of reality where city are concerned went out of the window with svens exit. I think it would be piss funny to see him at city and at the end of the day if our mail order chairman wants to piss his and the sponsors money up the wall then who am i to argue. I think we all agree chairmen buying players is not the right way to go and it will not be the first time its happened at city, any one remember rodneys impact when swales bought him in, we gifted the league to derby (maybe i am wrong but thats how i remember it) . Sense and city do not go hand in hand , if it did we would have actually won something in the last 32 years, and we would still have Sven in charge. Building a team by taking your time and nurturing tallent and developing a cohesive squad is what should happen, but sadly in this money driven era success is desired instantly, and the premier league is becoming a place where if that doesnt happen drastic measures are taken.
goodbye cruel world football is dead, but being a city fan whatever happens still lives on and strong in this one.

P.S. i still have my share certificate, its not been cancelled because in my tiny mind its still mine. I never sold out on city or will ever give up. Chairmen and rag managers will come and go, but we the fans without who city would not exist will be here for as long as there is a blue shirt to support.

Yes I want Ronnie cos he was, when I last checked, one of the best players to have ever played football. To have him at City would be, as CS said, if nothing else hilarious Very Happy

I'm ignoring the whole Frank buying him argument here as I dont think it'll happen anyway lol

But the whole Sven/Ronnie thing is why I love City! We are insane. Like my favourite bands/authors/stars etc we're capable of anything from sublime to shite, always have a cocky nature and ultimately let me down Suspect
Something kinda ooooh
