Ronnie. Yes or No?

Post by mackenzie on Fri Jun 13, 2008 3:39 pm

I like the excitement that a move such as this generates amongst the fans. But I have to say "No."

I'd rather he stayed away and have done since we were first linked with him.

Even a semi fit Ronnie could be an asset I guess.....it's just that this is so not the direction I want City to be going in.

We should be signing players with their best days ahead of them and complimenting that with some of the youth in a balanced steady way.

the only problem i have with signing ronaldinho is how much he will cost, but if that is paid off by sponsors and shirt sales then i am happy to have him.
he may not be as good as he was a few years ago but he is still a good player and can create something out of nothing.

The danger is building or making a team centre on one player though. We have tried that before and it doesn't work.

No.

He will sign for the rags anyway.

Can't see them letting us have a player like that.

Can't see Fergiescum having him in a month of Sundays tbh. And he turned them down a few years ago.

Call me old fashioned but i like the Club manager to decide what players he wants and then he tells the board who try and sign them.

I dont think any Owner/board should buy players and foist them on a manager.

And Roanldinho in my opinion would be a waste of space

so do i but he did say he was happy with signing him and jo. I don't think he would have got the job if he would have said though so he may have been forced into it.
i hope thaksin doesn't intervene again but i feel he will.

fair do's Rasc but when Franny signed Kinky he was without doubt a truly brilliant gem of a player. just a pity we had a shit team around him, If we had ronnie now we have the players to compliment him ...IMO of course!

But that is the problem imo. We don't have a clue WHO is going to be in the first team if Hughes is allowed to go out and get who he wants. Some may sign, but others won't. Some of the first team regulars may be with us of course...but this smacks of one player meaning much more than any team around him. And that isn't good imho.
