It's obvious the rags can't afford him and with them benching him for the last few games, I wondered if bacon face was trying to soften the fans up for when he leaves( look we don't need/want him really)
Same with Mascherano at red scouse. If we did manage to steal these two, it would be the best bit of business I can think of. Weakening two of our rivals and strengthening us at the same time.
Then there's the added bonus of neither of them seeing a fucking penny from us.

Villa- rejected real to stay at Valencia not going to come to us
Torres would cost a lot and that means giving money to a rival
eto'o is no way near as good and quite old (i think)
