It's a romantic and beautiful dream to think we could somehow fight our way to the top by being plucky and brave but it could never happen in reality. It's all about money now, rightly or wrongly, and we have nothing to feel bad about.

The rags break the transfer record every season, they've spent 60m on 2 players this pre season already. They always spend a lot and consequently they win a lot. Obviously they dont see it that way but thats cos they are cunts.

We havent sold our soul Bozo, it's just the way of the world really.

I think we've worked the last 40 years for this... sometimes i think a sense of 'family' or 'close knit community' that i was felt around City will be lost, be then i think or all those that are twice my age and have seen all the dark days the uninspiring performances and the inept off the field personel.

No-one other than our own fans will understand what we've been through to get here, we've done it on the quiet, unlike Newcastle who wont enjoy it if 'it' ever comes becasue they expect it every year.

I think it'll bother me to begin with, as we begin get tarred with the same brush as some of the other 'big 4' clubs... But in the end, as Chelsea fans have already told us... "You won't give a shit what anyone else thinks when your captain is parading silverware around the ground".

I just hope we keep our roots in our mind and conduct ourselves with dignity and respect.
